I have created a selection of brands and items that I believe my target audience would use frequently, there is a wide variety, from video games to different foods and drinks. I have based my selection around the brands and items that I and others that like the same music as me would personally choose. I believe that my selection is a suitable collection of items to represent my sub-culture, which consists of metal music listeners in general.
In more detail, I had chosen the instruments in the image because many people that listen to this genre have music, attempt to learn or have attempted to learn to play a part of it themselves, regardless of how successful they were. I also included similar magazines to my own that I believe my audience might enjoy, along with this you have a laptop, which many of the people in my target age will use daily for social networking sites, such as Facebook or Twitter. Linked to this, is the camera, it is not uncommon for my potential audience to enjoy photography and in fact, many of who I asked have taken it as a subject in college. The jacket included in the picture is band merch featuring Avenged Sevenfold, a popular band among metal listeners, however this represents band merchandise in general as many listeners tend to wear jackets, shirts or other pieces of clothing to show their favourite bands. The image of the take away food from "KFC" is included to show fast food as a whole, my target audience consists of students in general, who are percieved to commonly take the easier option when it comes to eating. The picture close to the previous was taken at a large concert, the majority of metal listeners actively follow the bands they like, resulting in eventually attending one or many of their gigs, whether it be near or far. The collection of video games displayed are recent or popular games which I believe that my audience would probably enjoy. Finally, the movies displayed in the bottom right of the image are representing the horror genre or at least some kind of gore or battle.
